Nearly $250 million in SAMHSA grants awarded for behavioral health services

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Sept. 25 announced that it awarded $247.9 million in grants for services expanding access to addiction treatment, mental health services, and recovery support across the U.S. SAMHSA said the funds will support mental health services in schools, trauma treatment for children and families, efforts by first responders and communities to reverse overdoses, and assist people in recovery with returning to work.
